Signing Strategic Partnership Agreement with VIVO

On June 13th, Hexing Sao Paulo subsidiary (Hexing Brazil) and Brazil largest mobile communications group VIVO signed a strategic partnership agreement about deploying 3G in the smart grid projects. The Vice President of Hexing, Mr.Cheng Rui as well as the CEO of Hexing Brazil , Mr. Cai Jixu attended the contract signing ceremony.
During ceremony, parties had several discussions about deploying 3G in the Brazilian power industry and decided to bid for some smart grid projects in form of JV partners.
It is understood that 3G is the current communications technology with a wide coverage, high bandwidth, and low latency in Latin America. Currently it is widely applicable in Distribution Automation (DA), Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI), etc.
According to the international competitive trend of wireless technology, the 3G enterprise business tariffs is declining, so implementing cost-effective wireless network solutions is significant in Brazil. Because Brazil is a vast country and network coverage has its own complications.
VIVO ,as the largest mobile operator in Brazil, is committed to provide users with high-speed and innovative data services and gradually become a leading company to serve both individual users as well as enterprises.
In the mobile market, VIVO achieved more than 30.5% market share with more than 74 million subscribers. VIVO also provides 3G service with network coverage of 73%, national wide (urban areas).
Mr. Cai Jixu emphasized that this mutual collaboration is milestone for Hexing and it will enhance our core competencies to deploy smart grid projects in Brazil.
