STS stands for Standard Transfer Specification and it is the only open standard for prepaid metering system which is well-recognized and widely applicable all around the word.
During recent session of STS committee that organized by the South Africa Utility “ESKOM”, Hexing as one of the members of committee proposed two suggestions to enhance the management function of the STS standard. The suggestions were affirmed and appreciated by other committee members in order to gradually improve the existing functions to facilitate both prepaid customers as well as the utilities. Followings are the suggestions of Hexing :
1. To fully implement balance refund function when a customer switches from prepaid to postpaid mode.
2. To provide deferred payment feature on credit basis to facilitate selected illegible customers.
After meeting, the competent engineers of Hexing had some conversations with other technical members to illustrate more about "Token Management System" and "Encryption box".
During last 11 years, Hexing was an active member of STS association. We are one of the earliest developers of STS prepayment meters in the world that achieved the authentication certificate from the initial stages.
By the end of 2016, Hexing jointed the STS standard establishment committee to fully contribute in improvement and enhancement of the standard.
